been twice in three weeks done one both times and this one one min before went in did not make sence to me valval0

The joint is prone to infection during the injection, so it is may be to make sure there is no MRSA present on the skin...or to disinfect the area before the injection.
So don't be worrying.

Of course this is only my opinion on the matter, so perhaps check with them at next appt.0 -
I would think that cebeem is probably correct. Healthy people can carry MRSA and some hospitals (especially those who have had outbreaks) test anybody having an invasive proceedure or in an at risk group. Others don't! I didn't for mine.
Joint injections are considered invasive and people on steroid treatment may have compromised immunity.0 -
thanks but how long does it take to get results and i managed to hit my nose this time hands were not shaking so bad lolval0
