    Hi Tracy

I am ready for pocket duty. I hope your appointment goes well.
Neuro surgeon is doing my c4/c5 discs and that is caused by arthur so I reckon it qualifies

Sandwiches, flask and chocolate packed, I have got some hand wipes too cause chocolate is quite messy in my hands

    Take care

    Hi Tracy,

I'll be there too. I think anything else we get is related to arthur so it does qualify. Any way when you have arthur you need support for aything else that comes along, even a cold, well i do anyway, dealing with arthur is hard enough without other stuff. Hope it all goes well, I'll bring some baileys choc, mmmm yummy

    Dear Tracy,

I will be with you. Am feeling a tad tired as did not sleep too well last night, so will be very quiet but will also be listening out as well, just in case you forget anything that was said. We will all do that for you as you are going on your own. So keep the paper rustling to a minimum, folks please

Neurology goes with arthur and if it didn't would not matter one jot. Once in the group anything goes. :smile:

    Hugs
    Elna x

Your right Hileena, at least he is being thorough..I'd be moaning if he wasn't lol..Too be honest when i was in there i didn't really know what to ask or say as a lot of my symptoms i put down to tablets , but he wanted to hear everything and even took my list of symptoms and experiences that i had written down so he could have a look and write up his report..He was a very nice man..

Isn't it like a breath of fresh air, Tracy when you find a medic who appears to be genuinely interested in helping you. It really does mean so much. Sounded like a very thorough appointment.

    Hi Tracy,
I had gabapentin last month and they did work for me so fingers crossed that they will have the same effect on you.
Isn’t it great when the doctors actually want you to tell them everything and take the time to listen?
I hope you are having a restful weekend and your appointment comes through very soon.

    Hi Tracy,
I had gabapentin for shingles pain, so a bit different than you but after the first day there was a big difference. I actually felt a lot better on them and found I was moving about more easily than normal. I only had them for a few weeks but I had no problems with them. I even slept better which is very unusual for me as I do tend to wander the halls in the night. I think mine was for 900mg a day. I can’t say I was groggy on them during the day but I do tend to crash about teatime anyway.
I hope they work for you and it does ease the pins and needles, it may well do if they take some of the pain away and bring down the inflammation.

I’m suffering a bit tonight but on the whole I’m not too bad, thanks for asking. I am still on the 400mg Hydrox and mtx but I have my rheumy appointment on the 21st so will have a review then. Or I may just run and hide in the sandpit....

Good luck with them, do you think that they will deliver them tomorrow?

Your on high dose Hydroxy, you get on ok with that?? Do you feel it's working ok for you?? I have found hydroxy helpful, did not agree with me at first but my body has now got used to it..i'm glad.

Hope you feel bit better soon and you get a decent nights kip,xx

Hi, Sorry I missed the request for pocket duties, my computer is playing up - or to be more accurate I think I accentally changed a vital password and locked myself out.

Anyway, I'm really glad that you had a good appointment and hope the test help to sort things out for you and the new medication helps. I hope you don't have to wait too long to get appointments for all the done.

    Hi Tracy,
Well that is good that you are increasing the gabs slowly, that way you feel more reassured. (always a tad nervous with the new tablets aren’t we).

I have been on the 400mg Hydrox for about two and half years now and have had no trouble with them but they did take a good while to work for me. I have my eyes tested every year just as a precaution but that is it.

Fingers crossed that the gabs work quickly for you and help with the awful back pain. Just be careful if they do as you can overdo things when you start to feel more pain free.
Such a balancing act... .
