Hi folks. Some of you might alway know but we are in Skeggy and we went to a place called Donna Nook yesterday just up the coast to see the grey seals and their pups as they come right up on the beach every year.
I rested first thing in the morning and didn't even have to drive there as we went in mi Dad's car.
I didn't take my crutches though as it was a rough dirty path last year, plus my hands and elbows are very painful at the minute.. I did however strap both knees up well and put my thermals on...
Had a great time, didn't walk too fat and was clinging onto the missus most of the time, hobbling slowly....

Today I've been stuck in bed in agony... I hate this payback... I hardly pushed things.. Can't arthur just bugger off and leave me alone for a bit :evil
Sorry for the moaning... It's been getting me down lately, not like me I know...
I increase my sulfasalazine up to four a day as of monday, have been increasing by one power week as instructed.. I guess they will take time though and I must be patient. My stomach is a lot better than it has been and the possible psorisis our whatever it was on my hands has totally vanished.. So that's good.
Just need the joints to settle down now..

    Hi Tony,

So sorry to hear that you're having a rough time- hope that tomorrow is a brighter day for you. Hang in there and persevere with the sulfasalazine it takes a while to kick in-I'm up to 6 a day and they do help but it took several weeks before I really noticed the benefit.
    Blessings

Hi Tony, sorry your feeling so rough today. Anyway at least you had a good time yesterday with your family - who knows, you may have woken up feeling just as bad today even if you hadnt done anything yesterday!
Dont know anything about the meds but I really hope they start working well for you soon.

Hi Tony ......sorry you are getting payback.....I am as well....2 days ago I went out with a friend and walked quite a distance {well for me anyway}if you count walking round shops as well. The afternoon I went out with hubby and walked more.....I'm quite depressed now because I dont think I walked that far and I'm so sore and achey.
Sorry I'm having a moan....but sympathising with you

    Love

Hi Tony, that’s the problem the pay back, I expect that you did more than you think with the walking especially over uneven ground. You have done right by resting up and fingers crossed the sulfa will start to work for you very soon. Saying that if the psoriasis is going I think that is a good sign that things are beginning to take effect. So hang on in there.

    thanks Val, Soroya..
I've not tried getting up yet, still in a lot of pain... Never mind though.. I'm sure it will be ok.
Will be strapping the knees up very well this morning and taking things very steady.
Maybe the bed here isn't that good for me, even though we brought our memory foam mattress topper..
Back home to my own bed on tuesday, last day for the caravan being open..

Thank you again for the support, it helps a great deal

Hi folks, forgive me if I don't post individual responses but it's awkward using the phone..
Today I was better  I still took it steady though, did not over do things at all..
    Bless you all for caring..
My daughter Toni & her chap Chris made it back to belper safe and sound. I'm hoping it won't be too long before they're living up in Leeds... It was a bad drive back, it's a really awkward drive, we did our just once but in reverse... There are no great roads between Skeggy and say Birmingham our the rest of the motorways... It almost killed me off when we did it, over five hours and not the easiest of route..
They are safe though and that is what counts..
Leeds to Skeg is a bog standard two hour drive.. Much easier.

Tomorrow we may go into Boston if I'm up to it.. I have elasticated plus crepe bandages for the pins and the crutches too, wrist straps for the hands.. I will still take it very steady though..
Probably go in Dad's cat but I think I'll make an excuse not to sit up front in the PASSENGER SEAT OF DOOM
    Lol

    Thank you all once more..
Sorry if I've not been here to support folks as much as usual.. Once I'm home I'll improve

Blimey! The invisible man hits Skeggy! Can we see the pics, Tony?

Have a good day tomorrow, mate. Don't overdo it, unless you want to. If you're in the passenger seat, try not to do the invisible braking thing. In the days when I drove, Mr SW was always braking for me in the passenger seat. Very unnerving. It was only a mini. I thought his foot'd go through.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    lol..
I dont think photos will bee made available for that particular look.. Haha

As for the passenger driving, ooooh, I hate that.. Lol.. I can see Janet trying to brake sometimes bless her.. I just remind her that she doesn't have a brake at her side of the car.
I think I'll be safely somewhere in the back of the car where I cannot see..
Cheers Sticky, hope that you are well tonight hun.

Glad to hear you are a wee bit better..
    Just don't b e overdoing it..
No need to apologise for not being around Tony, we all have our own things to worry about and deal with and can not always be super human, although the thought would be nice eh??
Take it easy..Hope you have a good day..xx
