Second rheumy appointment tomorrow

Hi all,
Well tomorrow is my follow up appointment with the rheumy, four months after he initially saw me and diagnosed OA. This appointment was timed to see how I coped with the cold weather ... lol ... what cold weather - this autumn has been so mild, although I will be able to talk about how I coped on the odd cold day we've had.
But this appointment does come at a good time, as my ankles (which have yet to be diagnosed) have been getting progressively sorer over the past four weeks - in fact, last night we out celebrating my daughter's graduation and even though I was sitting most of the night I found when we got home the my ankles were swollen and very sore, not puffy right round like when you have water retention (which I've never had before, but I have seen), but just across the front of the foot between the ankle bones ... does this sound like OA to any of you?
I'll also be able to get him to check out my left shoulder AC joint as it's been sore for about two months now, my wife seemed to think it too was slightly swollen last night and tender, as usual.
So wish me luck.
Cheers

Good luck for tomorrow scozzie, it will be interesting to see what the rheumatologist has to say. Mine ignores my OA - as far as she is concerned that is the GPs problem, she's only there to help with the psoriatic arthritis as that is her field of interest. Have you ever had a blood test to measure your inflammation levels? I can't remember, I do apologise. Do let us know how you get on, please. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks DD, yeah all the blood tests came back "normal" in July, except a blood sugar one that was slightly raised, but a follow up fasting test came back normal. I can't do anything about my asthma and arthritis, but I'm not gonna let myself develop diabetes if I have my way!
