I have finally finished filling in the DLA paperwork today so thats going off in the post tomorrow, I have no idea if I have filled it in enough to get the DLA but I have been as honest as I can be basing my answers on my bad days, I feel a bit of a fraud as not everyday is like that although at the moment I have more bad than good days, im just hoping if they want me to have medical they dont pick a good day!.

I have also been out today looking at cars as I was using hubbys car last week which is an auto freelander as oppose to my manual clio and found it so much easier so decided I needed to change to an auto as its easier on my joints and also that I need a higher car - so I dont have to get up and down into it if that makes sense, but thought I might hold out and see if I get the DLA as I can then think about the mobility scheme.

Does anyone know how long roughly it takes for them to tell you whether or not your claim has been successful?.

It varies but can be up to 11 weeks. Good luck with it and don't give up. xx

fingers crossed for you, nothing ventured.....

I hope you find a car that you like, you are right some of them are too low to get into and out of.

Good luck and let us know when you hear anything.

Good luck J, I remember doing that, and everytime I think of it I feel sick!! It's crazy that something as simple as filling in some forms and sending them off to be decided by a board of people who don't even know you, can decide how your life is going to go. I will keep my fingers crossed that you get it and for a nice long period!
