well, as of tomorrow I will be on four sulfa per day.. So far, touch wood I've had no ill effects, my stomach has really improved and the eczema/psorisis whatever it was has vanished...
Hoping it will start on the joints in the not too distant future, I know it can take a while so I will learn to be patient, promise
Will ring the GP on tuesday to see how the blood results were that I had last tuesday.. Hopefully there should be no reason to stop taking them... Next blood test a week next tuesday..
Fingers crossed.
Cheers

Well young Tony, sulfa-so good! (Boom-boom! Oh Mr Derek!) I think it keeps my psoriasis at bay for the most part (dermatology told me it was a treatment for P) so I wish you well and I hope it does benefit your joints soon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thanks Pal, Julie..
Val, what stump?
I saw the Cathedral:

And the seagull on the statues head, lol...
Had a decent day, I ended up driving so I didn't have to great for my life in Dad's car, lol..
I am paying for it now though... My hands are very painful after using the crutches today, we didn't really go very far but it was enough to hurt
Just before tea though, me and Janet drove up to the seafront and went for a very short walk on the beach...
Can't beat listening to the sea.. Love it..
Walking on sand is really hard on the knees though so mine are also joining in the pain game..
Oh well. Home tomorrow.

hi Tony,
hope they help boy.
used to be on sulfa, was on 7 2x a day by the end and you know what they actually worked, there was less swelling and the bones felt less hot and looked less red.... but... got a hug reaction to it and after running with the reaction for a while it got too much and i was taken off it and went on mtx... also had problems with that as well and it doesn't work as well as the sulfa
i'm not really helping but for a bit i did well on it if you didn't acknowledge any of the side effects i had
a special sachet to Ra and a hope you and Janet get a decent nights sleep. Tea and a hug, Cris xx0 -
Glad you managed to get out Tony..
The beach is such a lovely place and so peaceful..
Hope you have a safe journey back and that you get a good nights kip..
Take carexxTracyxx0 -
Thanks Cris, Tracey..
Cris, apart from a bit of an upset stomach every now and then I've had no bad effects, will see how it goes.. Hopefully I'll be good with them as I'm alway liking the way it's helped the really bad stomach problems I've had up to now.. Rheumy said it's probably IBD as well as IBS.
Gotta go.... Sore hands :roll:Me-Tony

hi Tony,
the sulfa held the IBD down brilliantly. when i came off i had the worst flare i had had for years... lasted 2 months after the mtx started as well...
its a good drug for both bones and the crohn's.
you get a good night,. hugs and tea Cris xx0 -
Hi Tony, I went up to 4 sulpha a day about 3-4 weeks ago and i notice it getting better for me. I have reduced the naproxin from 4 a day to 2 a day (Half) and im in very little pain. As more time passes i hope to come off the naproxin all togeather. My G.P said it reaches its peak at 3 months of taking it (Sulpha is in top gear at its best). So i may improve even more. I am ment to update my forum but have not got round to it yet. I log how im getting on with it. ''Gp took my meds'' its under.. Long story why its called that though.
All the best

Hi Tony,
Hope things continue to improve for you and when you get back home and have a rest you feel better.

Thank you everyone, bit better today
Tok, thanks for the info, every bit helps ... I've been a little better today, the nausea had lessened, the flare is eating a bit too... I hope it caries on that way. Had enough if a bad stomach for the past God knows how many years, can do without it lol..
will check out those threads tomorrow, in shattered.
Night folks, and thanks again
