Winter Months - What do you do?

I have noticed a significant difference in my RA since the weather has changed.

Does anyone else notice a difference during the winter months?

I was offered co-codamol a few weeks ago to help with the additional pain, however it was giving me an upset tummy so I have stopped taking it. Back to the doctor tomorrow.

I think I need to hibernate or move to a warmer climate.

I notice no difference winter, spring, summer or autumn as it all sucks, all year round. I have bought a SAD light, which I must try to get established somewhere in the house: I am currently taking Citalopram and I want off, so I'm hoping this will help. I always keep in mind that of the twelve months only five have reduced daylight as such, it is not that long to the shortest day (five weeks) then the world will turn round again. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Oh Debra...I will come and join you in hibernation...wouldn't that be good...
I do hope your gp can give you something to ease the pain, have you tried taking stomach protector before the meds...j

It is the damp, rainy weather that I do not like. It can be as cold and crisp as it likes. Wrap up warm and I am fine. I no longer like too hot weather either or rather it does not like me.

I live in the south east so thank goodness we do not get the northern weather.

The winter weather makes my arthritis worse, but the heat doesn't suit me either, unfortunately. I would love to hibernate.

Hope you find a pain killer that helps you.

The winter makes my Osteoporosis worse and find I go out alot less in the winter time. And stay wrapped up warm. My OH & I try to get away for a fortnight on holiday during the winter, we head somewhere warmer like the Carribbean, it makes a nice break from the cold.
The cold also means more flu and bugs which is also not good for me!

Well I live on the North East coast.we always have our sea breeze.
I don't like the rainy damp weather but it's lovely when cold and crisp.

I have a brother who lives on the South East coast......seem to remember it was bad down there last winter and didn't London come to a standstill.....well everywhere did...don't like it when it's slippy but love pure white snow...well to look at anyway.

The worst type of weather for me is the damp winter weather.
The cold weather days I just wear extra layers .

I find damp weather and can tell if its going to rain, as I had a hysterectomy a while ago I find my tempreture is all over the place I can happily be in the garden or outside in cold weather and still be hot but the hot weather is awlful for me makes me very sluggish and ill, funnily enough when we was in the Caribbean a few years ago I felt so well yet it was hot but a different kind of heat that actually agreed with me, we are off again in 2 weeks so am hoping for a painfree or much improved few weeks my favourite season is spring and autumn extream tempretures make me feel so bad ,
