Oh that's good news, jilly. All done and dusted before you have time to work up a panic. And you'll be up, if not running, in time for Christmas.

Don't wory about your husband not being there when you come round. Mr Sw always complains that, the first evening after an op, I take one look at him and go back to sleep.

    It will be good.

    Dear Jilly

In some ways it is best to be at the hospital early, that way you are there, if you know what I mean and time to see what is where and who is who.

I know it is annoying not knowing until you are there or sometime during the morning/afternoon, when you may go to theatre. Sometimes patients are suddenly moved forward or swapped around in the "queue" depending on how things are going in the operating theatre. I do hope you go down early.

You were wise to take the early date - might as well get it over with than wait any longer than you have to and if it is no problem to go in earlier than anticipated, then go for it - like you are doing.

Do you mean that your husband will not be able to visit you after your op when you have come round as he will be elsewhere or because he will not know when you will be back in your bed post op? He can call the hospital and you can call him or ask a nurse to let him know when you are going down, if he has to go to work once you are settled in the ward. I am sure he could nip in anyway even if it was not visiting time.

I shall be thinking of you and you know that we shall all help and support you afterwards should you want to keep in touch, which I hope you shall.

Do not be timid to speak your mind about the blips with the other op and I am sure all will go well this time for you.

    Hugs
    Elna x

    Dear Jilly

You will be at the hospital now. It will soon be over, the waiting is the worst.

I am willing the surgeon to have you at the top or fairly near the top of his list.

    Speak soon,

    Hugs
