Oooooh, what sort of machine? Pre-diagnosis but after the second synovectomy I had ultrasound (useless) and post-op the first syno I had the most wonderful cold compression device: a plastic sleeve was placed around my knee, filled with ice-cold water then inflated so it really pressed against the joint. That was the only thing that worked - but again only while it was on, two minutes after getting off the bed and leaving the physio gym the knee was hot and swollen again! DD

PS Have you licked your knee yet? If not, would you like me to do it for you?
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

When i recently went to sports physio he did deep massage followed by either ultrasound or magnetronic therapy. He would put a knee support which had magnets in it around my knee, then knees are put in a cylinderlike tube machine was set for 30 minutes.I only found it helped slightly no miracle cures .xx
