Well after 21 weeks of waiting and wondering Today the postman brought me my letter.

I am cordially Invited on Friday 16th December at 4pm to be admitted for my operation. I guess the op will take place the day after (hope he does work saturdays) as I have not been told to fast.

I am shaking while typing but at the same time relieved. I am now no longer wondering and getting stressed.

 got to cancel hair app now as that was on the 17th
But atleast the tree can go up on the 1st :lol:

Soooooo, pocket duty for the 16th please
Thank you

Hope everyone is ok
Love juliepf xxx

    REEEEESULT!!!

I am so happy for you, Julie. A new neck for Christmas. What more can one ask?

Right, I've ordered several plastic suits with space helmets on so that no non-disinfected person can enter your house. I am typing behind a glass screen.

    Yes! YES!!!

Oh my, it worked Julie. I told you I was willing them to find you a bed and for them to contact you.

Bet you are shaking, I know the feeling, wow, celebration time, in a very weird kinda way.

I am so relieved for you. You will get used to the idea with time to get everything organised but then you have been pretty organised anyway and you have your lovely new bed too. It is all coming together, I have a real cheshire grin on my face, typing to you.

There will be a happy atmosphere in the hospital too, more than likely, being that near christmas. Take in a little christmas tree to put on the side cabinet. Aw bless you, my lovely. All will be well.

Loads of love and fluffy hugs

    Elna x :grin::grin:

That will, presumably, be when your knees are feeling more up to the challenge, Tony?

Sorry things aren't good. Talk to us. We've all been there.

Julie I actually intended the suits for your visitors but, if you like them so much, just climb in & stay there. Whatever rocks your boat.

If you are, and wish to get home quickly, refuse it. I was in one Christmas after a THR. They did bring the wine round but I think that, and the Christmas dinner, had been recycled from the previous year. The only lovely, really Christmassy thing was (with apologies to Rehab) when the cathedral choir turned up on Christmas Eve and sang Hark the Herald Angels in our bay.

    Hi Julie,
I'm not a regular poster here, but have been following your thread and really feeling for you having 3 pre-ops and such a long wait. Awful, and you have shown great fortitude.

Now it's happening, hooray  Though it does bring other emotions, once confirmed I know. You will get through this with everyone's support on here, what a great bunch, and Elna's amazing recovery from her recent neck op is an inspiration.

It looks like I may well be having a 3rd cervical spine fusion next year having seen the neurosurgeon last week, so I can imagine how you are feeling. Remember they are very clever people and you will be in good hands.

    Take good care Julie,

    Hi Hileena and mermaid

Thank you for dropping in with your good wishes.

Hileena I am going to see if I can change it for the thurday evening late opening. Less people would be in the salon then which is probably a good thing. Failing that.....will give oh the scissors,

Mermaid (liz) oh my oh my you poor love having to have a 3rd op. I can imagine how your heart sank at the news.
I hope you never have to wait as long as I have . This is only phase one of my ops and I am wondering how long will the next one be. :???:
I want to thank you for your support and I hope I can support you too if I am needed.

Have a good weekend every one
