Joint injections are weird things, sometimes they help, sometimes they don't: let's hope this one does make a difference, yes? Oh Barbara, I can feel your frustration, I really can. DD

Aw bless you Barbara, nothing has been plain sailing for you regarding this yoyo-ing between back and hip(s) causing your problems. I really do feel for you. Will the injection be by xray direction or "guess work" ? I did not mean that remark to be quite so flippant, what I mean is with xray direction the injection would be spot on. Perhaps that is not done when injecting into the hip.

    Hugs
    Elna x

I'm so sorry this hasn't gone to plan, Barbara, particularly as you'd psyched yourself up for the THR. I guess, it's probably better not to do it if it now looks like it wouldn't help much. But you must be in emotional overdrive.

I just hope the injection works and gives you a bit of respite so that you can work out where to go from here.

My fingers are crossed for you, Barbara. (Actually, some days it's quite hard to uncross them but that's our secret) It's always worked for me so I wish you the best of luck.

I'd like to put money on the fact that the Consultant has never himself experienced "bone on bone" pain so he has absolutely no idea. You have to have suffered from this to really know how it feels.
I'm sorry it didn't go according to plan Barbara; I'll keep my fingers crossed that the jab works for you.
    Take care,
    G.
