hI Everyone,
The pain caused by my physio.By the time I'd finished I felt like I'd run a marathon.
The good...oncologist said my blood was ok...no sign of the cancer returning.
My daughter...the one who had all the blood tests got a letter to say she had to make an urgent appointment with GP.So yes something is showing up in her bloods. She is going at 3 tomorrow.
I really don't want to hazard a guess as to what it is likely to be....but I think it likely I'll be pointing her in the direction of this forum.
My sister is as ok as she can be.Her sense of humour is returning although she is obviously in pain...lovely new boob very bruised....but she is optimistic as things can only improve after the next op.
Been a busy day...two different hospitals...but pain now under control....for the moment.
John has been sister sitting....although she would probably be ok on her own...we would hate something more to happen....don't tell her this.
Oh...and we are having....pasta bake.Well John's version and oh boy he's steaming a syrup pud.
Must get him interested in other recipe books....although I never for one minute thought he'd get so interested in cooking.
Hope you are all as well as you can be. May

    Hi,
Update on my daughter....need help to understand.
Firstly she couldn't see the doc as he had been called out so she saw a nurse.
Rf level is fine...10 however her CRP is very high!!!!! Also one of the tests showed a liver problem...possible hep.
This is all she was told...apart from the fact she has to have more tests.
I told her I am going with her...and to make an appointment to see the doc.
Any chance of opinions please. She said the nurse didn't explain much....WHY OH WHY DIDN'T SHE ASK.
I realise your not docs....just asking for opinions...please.

    Hi May,

First of all I'm so glad your bloods are fine and that your sister is coping better and has a sense of humour again......good news both.

As for your daughter I think when the CRP rate is raised it shows there's inflammation in the body. It doesn't tell you where. It could be her liver but equally it could be due to an infection somewhere. When I last saw my Rheumy my CRP rate had risen to 130 and I was feeling very unwell. Mine was due to a flare of my rheumatoid, so your daughter needs to see her doc again to find out exactly what's causing the problem ................but you knew that and didn't need me to tell you ......sorry   (Your daughter might not have asked because she's not ready to know yet and is probably feeling scared  )

I could be wrong on the above and I'm hoping that others will come along with better knowledge than me to help you out.

Keep us posted and can I come for tea please, your hubby sounds a lovely cook?

    Love,
    Love, Legs x

    Hi Linda,
I hope you are a little better yourself.Everything comes at once doesn't it.
Well daughter....She has had shoulder pain for ages...just one shoulder...but now its both which is why she went to the docs to begin with...without telling me.It was affecting her work.
I think she expected to be told what it was and to be given a miracle cure. When all her bloods were taken...she thought she had better mention it to me.
I have just rung her and suggested I make an appointment for her and I will go too.I know mum going when your in your mid thirties is just not done, but she has agreed.
According to the nurse there is no sign of an infection as she is not ill in that sense.
Goodness knows what this liver thing is....I don't think it's heratitis, flipping can't spell now.
I thought, even before she went today, that this forum will probably have a new poster...and deep down I still think this.
    I just wish she'd asked some questions....she wants to know.So do I.
All good on the sister front....and I was coping ok...but now a bit stressed about my daughter.
I must stop this worrying....after all it won't change anything....only make me or do I mean arthur worse.
Thanks for answering, just a bit thick regards these bloods.
    Love May

Oh May I understand all the worry - having children once they are over 18 becomes a minefield because you can only stand and watch from the sidelines really? Pain in shoulders, a raised CRP and possible liver stuff sounds too vague to expect to learn anything soon for her or for you. It doesn't sound life threatening and if it's some type of arther than that isn't the end of the world for either of you - although it takes some coming to terms with of course as I'm finding.

And at least everything's going well with your sister and yourself re cancer and that's the main thing you need to go with really. As you say stress only makes arther worse. My mum died a couple of years ago very suddenly in her early 70s and I have to admit I'm relieved not to have her worrying for me about all of this - she was never that great at being soothing when I was ill bless her! So please try to stop fretting and trust her and health professionals to get to the bottom of everything as soon as they can. The meals sound fab although I'm gluten free health bore these days but my OH is the family cook and I'm very lucky! Love Mat x
