Hi everyone , thanks for all you lovely posts . I was feeling sorry for myself until i so your posts.
I got home at 10 oclock last night , I am so glad to be home . I was right to worry about the painkillers . It took me five days to get them to up the dose to cover the pain , in the end I asked to see pain specialist who sorted it out . the doctors where fine but the ward nurses would'nt do what they where asked to do . They did after the pain specialist told them.
I will post again when i am feeling a bit better, thanks again you have helped me a lot.....................jillyxx

It's great to hear from you and I am so glad you are home. You rest now, do your exercises, divert your attention from anything that is twanging with a good book, the telly or a stroke of the cat (or whatever is available - even Mr Jilly!) and pop in as and when you can to let us know how things are. Hopefully you will become another weejean (I hope she's doing OK as I don't think we've heard from her in a while now). Take care and it's lovely to have you back. DD

Glad you're back home you have more control over things when home. The important thing now is to rest,do as you are told and don't overdo things.

    Hi Jilly,

How good to see you and know you're home, I have been wondering.

Rest, rest and more rest but be warned your bottom will get sore with all the sitting .......oh and of course the exercises, so important to get your new knee working.

    Take care.

    Luv,
    Love, Legs x

I'm pleased you're home, jilly, and thanks for the update. Yes, as Legs so rightly says, rest and exercise now. And, as DD so rightly says, distraction from the pain is a good route. I did a lot of computer games after my last op and the concentration enabled me to postpone a lot of paindullers.

Great to hear from you Jilly, glad the op went soothly. I know what you mean about the nurses on the ward! When I was in hospital in August some of the nurses where rude and when you asked from for some pain relief they would walk off and you would have to ask them several times before you got some! These days the hospitals are going down hill!

    Hi Jilly,
Glad to see you are home and I am sure you are still catching up with some sleep; hospitals are so noisy so it will be good to be back in your own bed.
Sorry to hear that the nurses forgot their compassion, (something that cannot be taught).
Rest and I hope the pain meds are doing their job for you.

    Gentle hugs,

    Hi Jilly

Sooooo pleased to hear you are back home. Good for you for persevering and getting the meds sorted via the pain clinic. Those ward nurses need a good telling off from someone. Don't forget we are here should you need any help, support or just a chat. Take plenty of R.I.C.E, TLC, and exercises a few times a day.

It is so much better being the other side of the operation isn't it. Onward and upwards now.

    Hugs
