all the aching stops when i sit down in the evening so i feel i dont need another 2 tabs i'm taking 6 a day and 3 dic i have sit downs during the day i cannot stand for long as that makes the aching worse its down my spine across my hips andown my arms and legs is it because of having ostoporosis as well as oa.

I'm so sorry you feel worn out, Joan. I don't take your meds though I did take diclofenac for years.

I very much hope you do 'have sit downs during the day'. I think I've graduated to having 'stand ups' but I do find standing is actually harder than walking.

I really don't know whether it would be osteoporosis or not. Maybe someone else can help. Why not see your GP? I do hope you feel better soon.

    Oh dear Joan

I am sorry I can not help with your question, but I hope when you go to your appointment, that the doc can help.

I think you are doing the right thing, sitting and resting then doing a little more of whatever it is you have to do.

I just wanted to say.....take care and send you a hug (((((()))))))
and hope that your discomfort settles down

Sorry Joan not much help to you but you sound as if you are doing the right thing by resting.
Pain takes so much out of you so I can understand that you are feeling so tired and down.

    Hugs,

    Oh poor you Joan x:(

I think , that if l were in your position, where resting actually helps.

I would MAKE myself rest properly feet UP and watch TV for an hour/read/doze. If it's what it takes to get you through the day then it has to be the best bet???

BUT next time you see the doc l would be mentioning it you know x:-?

    Love and HUGS

I think it's a combination of everything, my lovely. Surgery takes a while to get over, you are on medication, you have OA (which is both painful and tiring), I am not sure about the impact of osteoporosis but all in all none of it is a good mix, is it? You rest as much as you need to but yes, do mention it to the GP the next time you see him as some med or another may need 'tweaking' to give you greater benefit. DD

    Hi Joan,

My body often feels like that, heavy and aching and unable to stand for long due to not having the strength to support my upper body lol it os very bizzare.. I have put mine down to my arthritis , but as DD said you have had an op and it could be that your body is still adjusting and maybe saying you need some more rest, if you are worried see your GP though luvie..
    Hope things ease up..xx

At least you are on familiar ground with the oromorph so I hope it does the trick. Carry on doing a little, resting a little, you know the drill Joan, and I hope things improve for you very soon. I am thinking of you. DD (())

I hope it helps too, Joan. But no rushing to the little room. Give yourself plenty of time. At least you're used to it by the sounds of it. Thanks for letting us know how you got on.

Oh Joan, I've been having a whale of a time. I spent a deal of time yesterday smashing things in the kitchen and today recovering from the clearing up operations. My hands are not working anywhere near as well as I am used to, so it's BD now - Butterfingers Daisy!

    Hi Joan,
Recovering from your op takes time and patience hun.
No wonder you are tired. I have Osteoporosis and was told you don't know you have it until you break something.Maybe if it's that bad you should be taking something for that as well.
I fractured a vertabrae, had a dexa scan and was told my bones are like lace....that on top of undiagnosed whatever.
Rest...I know its difficult but sometimes you just have to listen to your body. Very glad you went to GP...although mine is useless.
    Take care. May
