Neoprene supports

On the knee thread some of you mentioned the above and I wondered if you could answer one of my queries about them.

Is it a problem to use them on an inflammed joint as opposed to one that doesn't have fluid in it? The reason I ask is because of my worries about septic arthritis developing if the joint is too warm. I've steered clear of them but hear they offer much more support and are more comfortable than other supports. I wondered whether to get one.

As some of you know, I'm have problems with my knees at the moment and walking is difficult. Also got a very painful thumb joint and need something to support that too. Shouldn't really be on here any more :smile:

    don't the straps dig into your leg?

    Hi, i got the one with straps too and have found it comfortable, without being over hot.

    If in doubt ask doc :smile:

    thanks clare and delboy. I might give them a go. It's true the other ones are quite painful to wear.
