Mine were made by a podiatrist at the hospital. they are blue and look like some I've seen in chemists but each one shaped a bit differently.

Maybe a private podiatrist or chiropodist? It may be expensive though! Mine do help, I think.
Hope you can get sorted quickly, love Suexxx

    Hi Karen

l would let the hospital make them as they will be exactly right for your daughter.

BUT in the mean time you could buy some over the counter at the chemist to ease things a little?? They do memory foam once which do help a bit.

    Love

Don't think of these things as a cure, they may help or ease a problem but not cure.

There are one or two private firms around who do a 'no cure, no pay' way of treatment, they wouldn't take me, too late, apparently. They do charge a lot for their services, the private fee was about £600 and the NHS will give you the same service. I seem to remember you only get limited supplies via the NHS, one set every six months or so, it was a while ago so may have changed.

    Hi,
The wait is normally about 7 weeks (was for me) feet take a long time to change shape so the wait will not be a great problem.
    What they don't tell you.
    1) If your feet/ankles have OA or tendonitis you won't be able to "just" put them in your shoes for a cure.
    2) They have to be worn for 10 mins the first day building up to full time over 8-12 weeks
    3) As joint failure progresses they will become uncomfortable and need re-assessing.

Personally i have trouble with mine as my feet swell/shrink almost at random, i also have OA in ankles AND a misaligned right foot due to a lump of bone in the wrong place - this was due to getting my foot ran over at 5 years old - foot was reset wrong.

my advice be patient see what they do.
