Morning all

Being a 35 year old rock chick I am very reluctant to give up my youth  Soooooooooooooo on Tuesday off I toddle up the M5 to Birmingham to watch Motley Crue and Def Leppard in concert. Of course being hardcore, I wasn't going to sit    The support band came on at 6.30pm and Def Lep were still going at 10.35pm, we had walked into the arena at 5pm - so standing all that time ..................

....................guess who is in huge amounts of pain in both hips and my back as seized ?????????????????????

I think now, maybe the time has come to adjust my behaviour and be a little more sensible and face facts. This pain is unbearable and making me feel sooooooooooooo sick and its all my own stupid stubborn fault :-(

Hugs
B X

oooh no, poor you, being a rock chick myself you have my sympathy. I used to love going to rock nights etc but had to stop a few years ago coz of my back. I'm still a teenager at heart but in reality I'm 40 x;) Hope you feel better soon. Sandy x

Bet the evening was good though and maybe even worth the agony it caused ? Hope you start to recover soon . I also love live music ; sunday we saw the Bootleg Beatles which was really good fun and tomorrow we are off to see Status Quo . As I'm a lot older than you ( 56 ) , and in a wheelchair , not such a problem with too much dancing ! Jillyb

well i know you enjoyed it so in a way was worth it next time you might have to sit or get a perching walking stick so you can take some of the weight off for a bit but do not give up what you enjoy it makes life worth living ((())) val

    Thank you all x:-)

Yep the evening was well and truly worth it, had a brilliant time and enjoyed dressing in my "rock chick" clothes again ;-)

I am off to see the band who supported on Tuesday night in March so I think we will have to get seating this time and be a little more sensible.

I am attached to my TENs machine as we speak and I am trying to chill out for a little while before the children come home from school.

Put some of that lively music on your stereo/MP3/ipod/Dansette/whatever they call a music player these days, lay down and chill(gently!).

    Hi Angelgirl,

A fellow rock chick here too and know exactly where you're coming from! Good for you, stick with it while you can!! In June I broke my foot due to dodgy ankles at a Rock Night doing the Midnight Madness and ended up going to see Bon Jovi with my leg in plaster lol! I'm 38 and just can't let go lol! Your post has made me smile in a good way, sorry you're suffering tho!
    x;) xx Annalou

    Thank you all

I seem to have recovered, just the normal aches and pains now ;-) I am just so stubborn and can't see why at 35 I have to "behave":lol::lol:

    Lots of love

I feel like that too and I'm 52! You will learn to better adapt when the payback outweighs the pleasure - and I hope that doesn't happen for a good few years yet! DD

Hi All!! I'm a bt of a rock & Roll chick as well! I love U2 and have been lucky to see them quite a few times at stadium gigs and Birmingham LG (NEC as it was!) And when you have that amazing music booming out you can't help but want to get up out your chair and jump about but with Arther you just know the consequences if you do! And I know that's why I just bounce in my chair and even that makes me sore the next day!
So I understand why your suffering and that you got whisked away with the music and show that was put on and for that 3-5 hrs you where well and able bodied totally enjoyed yourself that's the main thing!
