    Hi May

I would definitely mention it to the consultant on the 15th and please do not let him dismiss it as being "nothing". Don't worry, it is totally up to you if you have an op if it is offered so don't let that stop you asking the consultant about it. I am so sorry that you are having all this trouble and inconvenience and wish I could be more helpful.

    Love

I would mention it to the consultant again. Sorry to hear your having a lot of problems and in pain 24/7. I know how that feels, I had TKR 5 weeks ago and the pain is unbelievable, no meds seem to be able to touch it .Go to see my cons. next week so fingers crossed.
Hope you get your knee sorted once and for all, really feel for you
    Big Hugs from me xx

    Hi
Yes talk to the consultant and see what he says.
Similar is happening to me....I had a THR almost 2 years ago which didnt work....in fact I'm worse...I was on diclofenic because I kept wakening up with pain and that seemed to be the only thing that helped.
In May I changed GP's and she changed them from diclo to naproxen.....they dont seem to be working and the last time I saw her she said that she was taking me off the naproxen after Christmas and putting me on codeine???? Idont really want to go on codeine. I'm tryinbg to get an appt to discuss it with her but shes away a lot .....I dont have a consultant apptment until about April next year. So YES TALK TO YOUR CONSULTANT.....Like you that leaves me with paracetamol and codeine when I need it. They dont have the pain its obvious
Sorry thats not a lot of help

I can't take anti inflams as I've had a perforated duodenal ulcer. I have slow release tramadol and amatriptylne at night. It helps and the slow release of the tramadol does work. I admit I didn't think it would! x:oops:

Talk to your consultant and maybe get referred to a pain clinic by your GP.

I agree to all of the above, do as frog suggests it is what you need to do.
