Hi there. I've been on hydroxychloroquine now for 3 mths and take diclofenac when needed which has been regularly lately. The last couple of days I've had pins and needles and weakness in my 3 smaller fingers running to my elbow. Bit weirdly also have pins and needles in top lip. Is this a side effect do u think. Or I'm wondering of this is a new sensation of my usual pain now that the hydroxychloroquine has kicked in? Has anyone else had similar? I have ra by the way.

I occasionally have the pins and needles sensation in my top lip but quite honestly I have never thought that much about it. (I have PA and OA, and am on humira, meth and sulph for the PA). I have no idea if it's connected to the arthritis etc so I have always put it down to being 'just one of those things'. This is the problem we face, isn't it? Should we be fretting or not? If it carries on then yes, go and see your GP and mention it to him: it's always best to let those in charge of your care know about things that are fretting you, especially if it persists. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
