Might sound like a bizarre question

This may sound strange, but for the last few days I have had no feeling in my knee, the only way I can describe it is that it feels like a 'dead leg' its felt like it constantly for the last few days, when I touch it it feels like when you touch a dead leg just before you get the pins and needles as it comes back, also if my hubby touches it I cant feel it at all, just wondering if anyone else has had this? and what it was? I am seeing Rheumy a week tomorrow so will mention it then but just wondered what you guys thought.

    Hi Julie

I was interested so had a very quick google and n aturally, numbness in the knee can be caused by a number of things. When you get numbness in the knee, it indicates a problem and needs to be look at by and discussed with a medic. Apparently, some of the more common causes of numbness in the knee include kneecap dislocation, bursitis, tendinitis, strains or sprains, and autoimmune disorders like lupus. Some of these things are easily treated and others are far more complex.

I am not sure if this is helpful, but if you can hang on until you see your rheumi, all well and good but if not perhaps you should see your gp.

    Hi Julie

I hope you can hang on there another week but like elna suggests I think it would be an idea to see your gp, atleast he could put your mind at rest.

    Take Care
