Hi, I take these too and they gave me stomach cramps for a bit until I got used to them.
Stomach problems are a side effect - I suggest you call your rheumatologist or rheumy specialist nurse tomorrow just to check it all out, they may say its ok to carry on with them or they may advise you to stop and go in for a review, best to check it out.
Hope you feel better soon

thanks jan i might not have eaten enough this morning as got call to go into work early so will see how tomorrow goes if not will phone themval0

Val, they are best taken with a meal. The side effects do pass after a few days. I know you have to start slowly and build up, to help minimise side effects and to see if you can tolerate the med.
All the best with it!!0 -
thanks will see how things are after weekend only trouble is got works do tomorrow and said would go into work early again so will be a long day lolval0

Hi
Don't worry it gets better, when I started them I felt really ill and couldn't eat much either, but as others have said they are best taken with food. Good luck0 -
Taking them with food should help matters valval but if it doesn't go straight back to the doctors, OK? I must admit I now forget what a strong med they are as I've been on 'em for years and they are chucked down the cakehole with the rest and often without food - not this morning tho as I've been playing with my new (and pretty) toaster! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi val
No tips, not on that med.
But....I hope it is only that you have to get used to taking it and the symptoms soon pass

It may not start again valval, you never know. If you find taking the sulph with food better then that might be all it needs. Let us know how you are getting on with it and I hope the flare eases soon. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0
