Hi all,
Sorry I haven't been on in a while but things have been hectic with the move and getting the house sorted and settling into a new job.
Everything here is now sorted and we are back to normality.
The ankle is great, i have no pain whatsoever (unless I try to run. A bit of time still required before I try that again), even with the cold damp weather we are having at the moment. There isn't even a noticable limp.
The only issue I have is taking off my wellies after walking the dogs
I have a colleague at work who work for the American Air Force and has osteoarthritis in his ankle. He has seen my results and wants the same op but the US Air Force wont give him it and keep him in (They will how ever remove his foot above the ankle and give him a prosthetic one and allow him to stay in :???: )
Hope everyone is doing as well as possible and sorry again for leaving it so long before checking in.

Hi Rob
Good to hear from you again and pleased that everything has gone ok.It seems an age ago when you first posted about the pending ankle fusion.
I had my ankle replacement the beginning of June this year and although a few twinges and some swelling have never been so mobile for ages.
Let's hope all continues to be ok.
Regards

It's lovely to hear from you again Rob, and I am especially pleased to hear that all is going so well for you. I hope you and yours have a good Christmas etc, and that the ankle continues to behave! Keep well and keep in touch, you hear? When another person comes along with the wobbles about a fusion it's people like you that can give the firmest assurances that it can make a difference because you know that first-hand. I wish you well. DD
PS Don't go sliding around on any snow and ice - and that's an order!
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
