Well I eventually got round to doing it.......bought a 4 wheel rollator.
Long distances I use my scooter, short distance....10 mins walk and 10 mins back I can manage but am sore......Anything longer than that I used the scooter.
I eventually decided....USE IT OR LOSE IT .....and should walk more even if it involved a rollator.
I might also
lose a bit of weight walking :lol::lol:
Stranger things have happened x:-D

Love
Hileena

    Hi Hileena,
So you decided to buy one....I would use it little and often and build up the time....but don't overdo it.
You'll be walking round the metro next christmas....
    Good luck

I hope you and your rollator have some fun times together, Hileena. I don't have a scooter but Mr SW and I do go on our 'wheelchair walks' where I walk a bit, ride a bit, walk a bit more, ride a bit more then fall into the pub for lunch. I imagine, in some ways, or some places, you can do more with a rollator than a scooter. Enjoy it.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Morning Lovely People
I'll go easy at the beginning......I hired one for a week to start with to see if it would work for me. The enormous sum of £7.50 for the week   Its going back today.
I've tried it in the Metro center.......far too cold to go walking round the streets at the minuute. I walked much further than I would do without it then sat down for a cup of coffee {naturally x:-D } after drinking my coffee I thought I could walk further....then I thought ....dont be silly take it easy ....apart from anything else you have still got to get back to the car.
I'm going to finish off my Christmas shopping today but that will be on the scooter......much to far and too long for the rollator.
Sticky......I've known other people do what you and Mr SW do.......cant really do that with a scooter. Much too heavy to push. The best I can do is put it outside shops and walk around the shop....not ideal really because with scoliosis I cant carry things. So this will be great for your sort of walk I think....but for anything longer.it will be the scooter.

You can be in my gang, my gang, my gang, you can be in my gang, yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah! Great things, arent they? I have to say I am pleased with the Clatterator because it has enabled me to go further and do a little more than I thought possible and the boon of being able to sit down for a little rest is terrific! It's horses for courses, isn't it? Sticks for the better days, rollator for the not so good ones, wheelchair/scooter for those days that involve great distances. Those without walking problems dunno what they are missing. Happy rolling, Hileena. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

    Hi DD
So I'm in your gang now x:-D
You're right about horses for courses.......I was in the Metro Center for 5 hours today
No way could I have coped with that with just the rollator or sticks.....so scooter it was and everything bunged into it...In the rucksack at the back of it, in the basket on the front and in a bag sitting between my feet :lol::lol:

Hey Hileena, Hope your going to pimp it up! My OH went and pimped up my 2nd wheelchair! my holiday chair I use it for quick trips and holidays because my main one is very heavy and clumpy with all the extra on it! But my holiday (2nd) he wanted to make it easy to find so pimped it out with Monster drink stickers now you can't miss it! It has bright green Monster stickers and looks good!
    You must pimp your ride!
