Hi my sister in law has lost her incapacity benefit has been told not to bother appealing by my brother in law he is disability adviser. He said waste of time we are losing our benefits only savere cases will get the new one.
I know this but i am dreading the hammer blow falling on me. He has said i am l lucky so far as he has known people a few weeks after winning a tribunal people who have had papers taking their money off them for good. I won my tribunal one year one month ago hanging in on there waiting.
thanks for reading joanne

My brother in law told her there are worse than her she is furious. He is typical benefit person no feeling on what it courses people to feel like.
We are both talked about as regards what he thinks we can and cannot do. He is no expert but he thinks he is an expert. I am not thinking she will get her money back .She wants to GOT TO appeal though.
    thanks frog  morton

Suncatcher, she needs to appeal, gettin the support from g.p and any consultants, and other proffesionals involved in her care.
He is right saying I.B is going but she could be getting ESA.

Tell her to IGNORE brother in law. He needs a kick somewhere.

Appeal, appeal appeal. If she doesnt she will be seen as fine and thats what these gov bods want.

    All the best.

    Hi Joanne,

Um he is talking from the other side of the fence and she needs to appeal..... do you think he will be ok if she does though?

Like you I also expect a hammer fall and well I don't understand how we all can suddenly get better. I decided to stop worrying about it til it happens and then see whats left to do so hope you will be able to shut it off till you need it and they may not stop yours.

Hang in there and I do think your SIL should appeal but he may not like it if she does? Nice to see you. Cris xx

My sister in law is appealing. I am just getting on as normal if i do worry i get ill it is not worth it. My sister in law has gone on about her ailments as though justifying herself. She shouldn't have to. The national health will pay more out in counseling sessions and psychology now as this will make people even more poorly with the stress.
thanks for replying it is good to hear from you the government needs a kick somewhere also. thank joanne

I won ESA at tribual, then less than a year later I had to have another medical, guess what? I failed and on the thing I got points on last time. I still got 6 points, but the first was for not being able to sit long, the second not being able to walk far!

I'm waiting for the tribunal, although I bet I don't get it.

The benefit welfare advisor from DIAL I had told me I would not get DLA first time round and woould have to appeal which she would happily help me with. I got it straight off and my renewal went through last year with no issues early december its been awarded indefinate. So they dont know it all I truly beieve the GP is a big help if they know youre problkmes they can support your claim in full.

Good luck to your sis in law.
