HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL x:-D x:-D x:-D
Right, as some of you may remember, about a month ago I went to a rock gig - totally loved it BUT didn't love the pain and couldn't move for the best part of a week afterwards.
Sooooooooo in March I have tickets to see a band play at Birmingham O2 Academy. It will be a shorter gig so will be on my feet less BUT obviously I will be on my feet more than usual which only means one thing PAIN in the hips and back.
What can I do to help relieve the pain, especially the back pain?? Any simple/discreet exercises I can do??? I think I will take a few painkillers and make sure that I have them with me for afterwards. Although I am looking forward to the gig, I am dreading the pain and although I know I wont eliminate it altogether, I want to try and make it as good a night as possible.
Any ideas welcome

hi so glad you are going to another gig.
but what best for you to do am not sure i do find stretching back to my fullest hight helps and gentle movements from side to side, try not to put weight on heals rock onto balls of feet and back.
just what feels right for you to be honest you are the only one who knows what works you could try heat pad think there some self adhesive ones that might help valval0 -
Hi Angel,
Unfortunately for me my job involves standing all day long at work (9 hours) and I find this very hard on my back and hips. I find that the best way to relieve strain on my vulnerable spots is to wear perfectly flat shoes. Even the smallest of heels will put strain on my hips and cause untold misery.
Also, I have some instant heat pads (the ones with the clicker things in them) if you have any of these, keep them in the car for the journey home for instant relief.
Hope this helps

Hi Angel
I was also going to suggest the gel stick on heat pads. BUT if this is going to be a reccuring activity perhaps investing in a tens machine may be worthwhile.
I hope you enjoy your gig
