Hi all.

Was wondering how many of you suffer with IBS and if your arthur pains are worse whilst suffering with an attack of bloating?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I can't help you, spondy as I don't have IBS but I'm just bumping this up so that others can see it. Hopefully, you'll get an answer soon.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi Spondy,

I have IBS too and, so far, I have not noticed a flare in either causing a flare in the other.

    I have OA.

    Cheers

    Thanks to both of you.

I am waiting to get results from rhuemy, he suspects I have disc problems. I wonder if the IBS can make it worse?

Been waiting ages to get some answers. He also did more specific tests due to my severe Raynauds.

    Hi Spondy,

I have IBS and sero -ve arthritis, OA and fibro. If anything, my IBS seems to be under control but my arthritis is worse.

I have IBS, OA & Fibro. IBS is dreadful. I've recently adapted my diet (again!) following FODMAP principles and it's made a huge difference. It's also helped with my tiredness and (I believe) my pain as the tiredness and pain seem to go hand in hand with fibro.

Hi Spondy, I suffer from IBS as well as having Fibro and Osteoporosis. My IBS can have good days and bad days and likes to catch me out by having the bad days when I have company or when out somewhere! And I will double up with the cramps and have to make a B-line for the toilet.
But I haven't noticed the IBS getting bad when I have a flare-up from the Osteo pain.

How does your sero-negative and osteo arthritis affect you?

    Hi Spondy,

I have IBS I've had it for 20 odd years. I haven't noticed it being worse when I have a flare up.
Sadly it's just part of my everyday life, and a real drag sometimes.
    Take care,
    Anita.
