Hi All
Sorry I havnt posted much, ive not been feeling too great meds are not helping swelling & pain, and the cold weather and christmas period has been playing havoc with me  .
However, im not here for that reason I wanted to let you all know today I was told I have been awarded Higher Rate Mobility & Lower Rate Care allowence, so im very very happy, as I feel the lower rate care is fair at the moment as I dont need a huge amount of care - just my hubby to lean on when my legs decide not to work, and I need to change my car for an auto as im really struggling with a manual so now its deciding whether to get a motability vehicle or put the money towards a car loan.
Some of you may remember, I went to see my GP as he asked me to see him so we could fill the form in together, I did this and he said he would support me with an appeal if needed, well I then got a letter to say they were also writing to my Rheumatologist and now I have heard I have been awarded as above, so she must also have supported my claim, so im feeling very pleased with myself as I did all this without any help, apart from the advice you lovely people gave me when I first started filling in the dreaded application!. I also didnt need a medical :P .
So I just wanted to offer hope to those people who havnt claimed before, or who have only just been diagnosed, and also to say PLEASE dont be put off by the form it is long winded but take your time (I took a weekend  ) to fill it in, its worth it in the end and I honestly didnt believe I was eligable but with support from people here I began to believe I was eligable and that I wasnt a fraud for claiming (although I still do feel a bit of a fraud even now ive been awarded!! ), so if your thinking about it do it, and if you can get your GP and Rheumatologist to support you I think that will also help.
So im 1 very happy bunny tonight - although I cant jump around and celebrate as my kness or so bad right now - but I can smile and squeel ( which upset the dog  ).
I hope your all doing well.

I'm really really pleased to hear about your award.
If you choose a mobility car you get free insurance, servicing and tyre changing. It really helps to put your mind at rest.
all the best
