Hello SBaldrick,
I just wanted to welcome you to the site. I have OA, fibro and sero neg arthritis. I still work, although part-time. It kills me but I'm glad I'm still able to work. It must be very hard giving up work-I'm dreading it happening to me.
You'll find the site very helpful, hope to see you posting more,

Hi Alan,
Welcome from me as well.
Its hard to except the constraints the bone thing puts on us.... I think we all understand how your feeling and that, hopefully, will help you a lot to just know your not alone.
I am self employed and that's just as well cus I wouldn't employ me!
Acceptance is a difficult thing to find I think but I hope they are giving you good treatment and your pain is under control. Nice to meet you. Cris x0 -

Hi Alan
Just said hello to you on say hello!!
you are so welcome on here and l hope you feel it helps you being with us lot as it has helped me
One of the best ways to get your head around your diagnosis is to keep talking - and this is a very good place to do that!

Hello SBaldrick, it's lovely to meet you but as always I am saddened that we have had to be found. My descent into the arthritic mire happened gradually and the acceptance came similarly but there are still odd occasions when I kick against it (well, I would if I could! ) Somewhere there is a thread about acceptance, I will see if I can dig it up and I will move it back to the top of this forum - it makes for very interesting reading. It is a struggle, we all know that, but you are not on your own with this any more: we know what it is like, I found this forum after coping on my own for fourteen years and this place has made a HUGE difference to my life: talking to the initiated is soooooo refreshing! I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi and welcome to the site. I hope you find it to be as encouraging and supportive as I have. People here are so friendly.
It takes time to adjust especially if it has happened suddenly. You will get there, the thread DD has bumped up is really encouraging.0 -
Hi SBaldwick, welcome to the forum, hope you find it a help to you as it has been to me! Look forward to reading your posts.0

Welcome , SBaldrick , love the name - is it a tribute to the famous S#doff Baldrick of blackadder fame ? I've been a RAer for 31 years now ; I'm still not used to it but you adjust and alter to fit around the condition . Look forward to seeing you on the forum . Jillyb0
