    Hi May,

h my friend that knee has been a shift to you for some time now. wish it had gone better and also wish it would ease up and stop hurting you.

Constant pain is so wearing and surely they can help with that?

When do they next see you? If its not soon I think I would ask to be seen asap and tell them your not happy about this and how much its getting you down.

I wish I could take the pain from you but leaving tea and lave and well as a ((((( ))))) Cris xxx

    thanks Cris
i see him again in early March when i saw him last he said it was still very early days that was 12 weeks after the op , the physio is a brilliant chap and is the senior one at the department but still doesent see the pain factor the thing that worries me is that it was only a 50/50 op so is this it am i to have this for the duration ,dont get me wrong i know OA dosent go away and gives so many endless pain but a bit of relief would have been nice , the DRs are pretty much usless and just want to dish out depressents , i am far from depressed been there done that so i know that i am not going down that road , its just so ****** frustraiting not being able to do the simple things in life , HAY-HO carry on regardless
love and hugs to all xx

It is wearing, isn't it? Both my knees have hurt constantly now since 2003, they never stop, and as the ankles have now joined in it's a right cacophony from the hips down! What must make it worse for you though is the fact that you have had ops etc and they STILL flaming hurt. I have only had synovectomies and I know they are not a 'cure' as such, so it's easier to accept the pain but for you . . . . . . Deepest sympathies, my poor friend, but as usual your spirit will see you through. It always has and it always will. DD

    It does sound frustrating,
Maybe there is still time for improvement?? i am not sure as i am not familar with ops to help..
Maybe talking to your doctor, will they be able to help??
I hope things do improve as it does weigh you down the constant niggling..
    Thinking of you..

Oh berty how I wish I could take that ******* pain away for you, can you not get an earlier referral, It would be a big help if you had a better GP.
I am really hoping that there is time for the pain to subside , and you can see some improvement
Sending you loads of hugs (((((()))))
    Love

I can well understand your frustration. I'm sorry, bertyboy, but I can't remember what your op was  . I have a feeling it wasn't a TKR, the only knee ops I'm familiar with. Certainly I wouldn't expect so much pain so long after a TKR although I think some on here have experienced it.

As for the physio, my guess - and that's all it is - is that his concern is the practical, physical stuff ie getting things moving as much as possible without damaging anything. In my book they don't worry too much about pain they're not actually causing.

I think only the consultant can give you some decent answers. Any chance of bringing the appoitment forward? Would your GP help with that?
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    H Sticky,

It was a replacement of the first one which hadn't worked very well and was out of line. xx

    Hi May,

In ortho terms it is early days. My feet took over 18 months to settle and reach their full 'mend' (and they are only feet) so please don't think that this is how it will be. Keep plodding and come March hit them with a few questions.

You hang in there and I so glad the physio is good this time. ((((((((((( )))))))))) and a cuppa. Love Cris xxx
