Thanks all for pocket duties today
appt went quite well consultant agreed with doctor and also suggested steroid injection which I agreed to, expecting him to say ok we will arrangeanother visit, but the next thing he said to me are you ok for me to do it now. I know have sore place in the palm of my hand and been told to keep it elevated as much as poss for the next 48 hours. oh well no knitting when watching tv tonight or tomorrow.

Hello Turbogran, how are you now? I hope the steroid has eased things, they can be very effective but resting the injected joint after can be a bind. Anyhoo, your 48 hours are nearly done and I hope things are OK. DD

    Hi DD and Val
I'm ok DD as you say resting the hand and keeping it elevated as much as poss is a real pain still only about 5 and a half hours to go before the 48hours is up. I've been a good girl and kept it elevated and rested as much as poss  when i'm sitting down so hopefully it will work.
the consultant did say it might take a little time to work Val so i'm not expecting things to happen to quickley.

    Thanks Claire and Tony.
Tony Its great to see you back posting hope you are feeling better, Voodoo or not I hope it works too.
Claire finger is not painful at present it still locks every now and then but consultant did say it may take a few days to kick in so as it was only done just 47 and a half hours ago I dont think its doig badly.

    Hi Bubba
hand is fine today no pain. When I first got up this morning it just kept it's usual clicking and locking for about an hour and a half with no pain now it seems to have stopped.

    Great news Tubrogran

My ex MIL has these jabs fairly regularly...she has had probably three for her triggers finger, but it has lasted about a year in between jabs

    Love
