hi . i need a bit advice for my father. he is 70yrs old this year. and asked me if i could help him in finding out what happens to his dla on his 70th birthday. i've looked on the net but no joy.
does the dla just stop. is there an age limit , time limit. any help/advice would be good. thankyou

Hello okidoki
Once someone is on dla there is no age limit to how long it will go on for and now that he is past 65 he should not be assessed again. If you wish to clarify the matter you could always ring the benefits enquiry line - 0800 88 22 00
