Hi
On the days when I feel really worn out, I like to snuggle on the sofa with a film.

Ok that rests me, but when I need to snap out of it and get going again I find my favourite feel good music helps. It picks me up a little and motivates me to remember I have a life and Athritis (for the moment) is not going to get the better of me.

Does anyone have any other motivators?

Roo

I boost my energy levels by having a cup of coffee if it is around lunch time as I only have two coffees a day, the first being at breakfast time. I take myself out for a walk. I go potter in the garden, I chat to a friend on the phone, bake a cake.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    :lol::lol::lol:
I try coffee.....I'm afraid I dont stick to just 2 cups a day.....life doesnt begin until after the 2nd cup in the morning :lol:
I'll follow this thread with interest to see if anyone has any ideas to help me get my get up and go back again :lol:

    Love

Oh yes, boosting energy levels, putting the electric blanket on and having a nap for 30 - 40 minutes.

remember back in the old days morning motivation was really hard especially if you had been out the night before. Never did know if I was sick or hung over. Head in my hands at the table then a cup of tea and a ****, then another ****. Then another cup of tea and me corn flakes, then another **** as I started to come round then off to work as happy as Larry as they say. Now no drink no **** its bran flakes and one cup of tea incase I pee myself before I can get to the loo, oh happy days

Val Ive never done energy drinks first thing in the morning , I might give that a try.
Chocolate does it for me too Bubbadog.

Coffee and a walk going to try that too.
I did find they have improved since I stopped drinking red wine.
Only the occasional glass now, and I feel like I have been hit by a bus the next day.
Energy certainly got better on the full dose of sulfasalazine which was quite significant considering how poorly it made me feel in the early days.

A power shower, I hold the shower head on the bit that hurts the most (ususally my right shoulder) it gives you a kind of deep heat massage. After I have dried off I get back into bed for half an hour to relax then when I get up again I feel able to face the world.

Unfortunately I can only do this a weekends as I have to be in Work for 8am during the week. Oh if only I was rich and could pamper myself every day.

when my battery is draining I go for a lay down. Sometimes this may only be for 15 minutes but it really helps me.
