Well folks....like rupelstiltskin (only with short hair) I am stuck upstairs as my stairlift last night just got me to the top of the stairs and decided not to work again.

So ...for an hour and 15 mins last night my Rich had the thing in bits looking to diagnose the problem.
A faulty cable  it had a couple of broken threads inside.

This morning he has taken a days holiday and been ringing around to find someone who will sell him some, and at this moment in time is going to purchase some.

Why don't we get someone to come out i hear you say.....well, it would need someone to come and look (which may not be today) then order a part then call back on anotherday to fit. Plus they charge an arm and a leg.

I am lucky that Rich is quite good at this sort of thing he likes to fathom things out and has had quite alot of practice with the mobility products i have.
Lets just hope that the cable that this man has in stock is the right one (rich did give him the serial numbers) otherwise it will have to be ordered off the net for delivery tomorrow and another days holiday.

Will let you know if my prince can get me down from this tower

Is that rapunzel Julie? Rumpelstiltskin was that very cross fella who had to guess the name of the baby within 3 nights. Mind you you might be as cross as him. Hope it goes well and well done to your clever fella.

    Hi Julie,
Sorry I missed this, but very glad Rich could fix it for you, you must be so relieved.
I had a bit of a fight with my bath lift this morning...had the thing on charge all night, got it all set up to go, pressed the button and..nothing, I pressed and unplugged/plugged back in again before having to admit defeat and call hubby in for help, it turned out that yes I had plugged the charger into the socket last night, but had neglected to then push the switch on  to quote my mum 'what an eejit!'
