I hope you find it effective, Bertyboy - some find them wonderful, others find them of limited value and others find 'em useless - it's a bit like the meds! Good luck and do let us know how you get on. DD

    Hi May

l had one for a good while till l killed it!!!

I used it on my back and it was pretty good....over time though l did find l got tolerant to it and had to have it switched up higher and higher (probably how l killed it  )

Pain specialist is a great idea too.

    Fingers crossed for you

    love

Hey Bertyboy i had one of those on loane from the hospita, my daughter rushed out to buy me one. I used then for months but decided to get shut as they where of no use whatsoever. Perhaps people are different and it works on some. I'm told for some it works when in use and when you stop using it it stops.
    Cheers

When arther was less intrusive the TENS machine worked well, the hospital ones may be more powerful than the one I had?

Sorry to hear things are not as good as you'd hoped after your op.
I had a loan of my physio's tens machine a few years ago and them bought one the same as I thought it was a good help for my back. Since I've now also got fibromyalgia I can't use it as much as it's too uncomfortable. I would recommend you give it a go 'tho as I used mine for years. I've also had acupuncture which helped a lot.
Hope the pain team are able to help, I've heard good reports about various ones.
    Rita. :)

    Hi All
I have a tens machine. but find it makes the muscles I attach it to go into spasm, then I'm in a worse state than before. does anyone know how to place it so my whole shoulder doesn't lift up, or pull my head down to the side?
