Hello everyone, I have just rejoined (see hello section) and just wanted to say hi on here and mention whats happening with me.
I have RA and am on meds which havent worked well and now waiting for a delivery of the Humira, then I get to learn how to do the injections.
I am struggling to work as a childminder, its part time but feels like full time lol!!
Hope everyone is doing ok, and look forward to hearing from people I knew from before, and getting to know everyone on here

Hi rose ellen,
Good luck with the anti tNF... My golimumab has kicked my signs and symptoms into touch... They are just a memory now... ( it's funny cos I've soon forgotten even though it was only 4 months ago)
Out on the bike in the morning with 3 mates.. We'll be out for a few hours and then into a cafe for coffee and cake...

Hello Rose and welcome back
Ra can be so painful and takes away so much, i know how difficult it must be for you to work. Good luck with the ANTI TNF treatment and you soon get use to self injection. The only tip i can give you about that is not to hesitate do it as quick as you can. its a very small needle and you hardley feel it. You may be lucky and get the pen ones their even better.
Take care and let us know how you get on .

Good luck with the Humira, I hope it helps you as much as it has helped Marion1952 and Scorpio: they rarely post now as life is pretty much back to normal for them! Let us know how you get on, yes? I too am on Humira and find that taking it out of the fridge for about 30 minutes prior to the injection lessens the sting, I also do it just before bedtime so that I can have a good rest after. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thank you for the replies, and the advice and support.
Its good to hear from people who have already been through the treatment.
I'm hoping that it will enable me to do at least some of what I was able to do before. I had to give up my job as a senior teaching assistant in a special needs school as I could no longer get up and down from the floor, let alone move the children around in wheelchairs. I miss it terribly. but hoping forROSE ELLEN0
