Wrist's & Hands Ouch!!

The last two days I have woken up in the we small hours due to acute pain in wrists and hands, my fingers have been swollen for ages but this is new and I don't like it, now then all ahhh.
After being taken off Methotrexate due to Liver problems I have had a Liver Scan done this week and hopefully all being back to normal the hospital have decided they are going to start me on a different drug, don't know the name yet or what is involved so I will be asking for further information.

    Its is awful when the pain wakes you up, I do hope they start the new treatment very soon, and fingers crossed that you get loads of benefit..please let us know how you get on xx

    I feel your pain Sylvia! My hands and wrists have been swollen pretty bad this week, had to take my rings off and I wear wrist and hand splints and because of the swelling I've had to take them off because my left one had been pushing down on the nerve upto my thumb and my thumb has lost the feeling in it.
    So might be worth seeing the doctor about it, because you never know what might be causing it. Better to be save than sorry.

    Good luck with it all.
    I can sympathise I am in the same boat pain wise with shooting pains up to the elbows.
    Meth will be the next step but dont really want to go there.
    I hope the new treatment helps.

    Sorry to read about your sore wrists and hands. Do you have any splints that you could wear. Maybe it could help,

    I hope the new drug helps and that your liver has now returned to normal

    Best of luck with whatever they try next. My hands, wrists and elbows have severely fallen out with me right now. After a few days using the elbow crutches more than usual as I was determined not to let arthur spoil a trip...
    Horrible shooting pains eh?
