Hi yaris
And a warm welcome from me, sorry im not sure what the 2010 act is, but you can apply for a blue badge from your local council, I think you fill in the form and get your GP to sign it, or some councils ring them up .
Wishing you good luck with it all, and please let us know how you get on.xLove

Sorry can not answer you actual question but I know if you get high rate mobility DLA, then you can get one anyway.
You should be able as barbara12 says, you can full on out from the website and email or send it off to the council with your GP signature and help.0 -
Hiya
I have issues walking and managed to get my blue badge 1st try, my GP is great and said I shouldn't have this much trouble walking and pain at this age and just signed it off. My suggestion would be to find a sympathetic GP and go from thereSarah

Hi,
I think I read somewhere that you don't need your doc to sign anything.
What is supposed to happen as from January 1st is you fill in a form from your council and they get an OT to access you.
The idea is that you could be too friendly with your GP so it is now taken out of there hands.
I might of read this on the web...more than likely.
Good luck May0 -
it seems to be dependant on what your council say, some take proof from dr's some get the OT out to assess etc... some will just let you have your badge based on the info you give them. It should be a standardised practice by now!
I get some right stares and some really bad behaviour off the general public when I use a disabled parking spot, as unless I'm limping badly I look absolutely fine. I think that's the biggest problem for those with invisible disabilities. people just think I'm faking it! I soo wish I was I would love a pain free, drug haze free life.Sarah
