Concussion, injured nose & RA flare up

I am feeling really rather sorry for myself. I walked into a wall on Tuesday. :? My vision went funny and my nose swelled up but it eased off. Unfortunately, I got a headache that has refused to shift. I popped to A&E and got told I have concussion. My nose has also moved out of shape (ouch!) but luckily, am seeing an ENT next week. My joints have decided they are unhappy at not being the centre of attention, so they've decided to swell. The codeine was making my headache worse so I'm only taking paracetamol for the pain and it's not helping!
Thanks for listening to me complain. I'm feeling really quite fed up at the moment.

Oh you poor thing, I'm so sorry, this is the last thing you need with arthritis to cope with too. I'm sure you've been told what to look for after a concussion, but if you get sick or the pain gets much worse please go back to A&E. I'm sending you some healing and very gentle hugs (((()))) and I hope you feel much better soon. (((((()))))) Xxx'grá agus solas'

OUch!!!!! Sorry to hear this. Get comfy on the sofa, and rest up. Watch a good movie and take your mind off things.
Thats the trouble with arfur, he always wants to join in, lets hope it all calms down soon. Could you up your pred to calm it down?
Wishing you a good ENT appt.0 -
Thank you both. Feel guilty coming in here and complaining when I've not been very active lately.
I think of you all lots. x0 -
You poor thing, hope your concussion goes soon and you feel better as well soon.0

Get well soon, just try to get plenty of rest. Sleep is a great healer (though unfortunately not for Arthur).0

Poor you Starburst
no need to feel guilty for having not been on lately...tis a good sign normally when someone goes AWOL
What about trying one of those headache patches...the cool ones??? Would that help??
I do hope things ease soon for you and that someone is looking after you at home?

Starburst, those cool headache patches are really effective I find. Worth a try in conjunction with painkillers.
Hope you feel slightly better today. We have snow here, so if you go out, be careful.0 -
Thank you so much for the lovely messages. It warms the cockles of my heart on this chilly snowy day.
I'm not quite myself but better than I was. I have a sore, swollen neck and think it was from the impact. I do hate being clumsy!
Have a lovely sunday everyone x0 -
Good to hear you are on the mend...hopefully tomorrow will be even better!
Love
