Have I Got Arthritis?

Hi,
I'm looking for advice PLEASE!
In 2000 and 2006 I had intramedullary nails fitted in my femur and tibia in my right leg. The surgeons advised me that it was likely that I would develop arthritis at some point as a result of these surgeries.
I have recently started to suffer with an intense burning pain in my hip and knee, particularly when the weather is cold or damp. Is this arthritis?
I'm not one for bothering the doctor for aches and and pains caused by tiredness or my age (41) but on the other hand I don't want to ignore something that could get worse without the right treatment...

    Hi Col13
And a warm welcome from me
Only xrays can show if you have Arthur, so if I were you go and have a word with your GP, at least it will put your mind at rest one way or another.
I know you say you dont like going, it took me 2 years to go about the pain in my knee, and it turned out that I have arthur in my hips and back, and the pain in the knee was...referred pain from my hip..apparently they share a nerve
I do wish you well with it all, but please go and see your GP.
    You take care
    Barbara x
    Love
    Barbara

    Hi, and welcome

Barbara has given you good advice. You need to know what is causing the problem, so they can advise you on suitable treatment. I doubt the doc will dismiss you, over this!!!
