Top Of My Arms So Painful

I have RA and find that the worst pain is when it is in my upper arms, sometimes its in my right arm and other times my left arm.
I have trouble lifting my arms up and need my OH to wash my hair for me, it seems to have gone more regular now and is really getting me down.
I am on Hydroxyclroquine but they don't seem very good, metx and zulfaselazine made me ill so at least I can take these meds with no side effects, I also take tramacet which I find excellent at fighting the pain, I really can't do without these.

Hi Silverbirch
I can empathize with you; I have tendonitis in my right upper arm which likes to kick off sometimes after carrying but sometimes just cos it can. I am having problems with the shoulder joints at the moment but hopefully after rest it will wear off soon.
As you say Arthur likes to wander around at will but I hope that it eases off for you soon.
Hope you are managing to keep warm where you are. It is freezing here.

hi silverbirch,
i've had this for some time now but a steroid in january has helped loads and my arms are nowhere near as stiff.
the only thing i found helped was to dose up with co-codies at night, rub a load of deep heat on them and rest with a couple of pillows.
having more co-codies half an hour before getting out of bed also helped loads then i would try and stretch them a little by holding onto something (like a worktop) then slowly taking steps backwards and forwards to loosen them - it did work ?! (sounds crazy !)
hope you're ok xxxxCakegirl xxx0
