hi just a little poem i wrote .
THIS morning i woke up and couldnt turn my head ,
I couldnt lift my arms up
It was even harder to get out of bed ,
My back it feels like its broken
THE pain is too much to bare,
But i have to get myself moving as there is noone else here ,
Iam finding simlpe things in life
so very difficult to do ,
Just walking round my kitchen causes me so much pain ,
even just to brush my hair is becoming so hard to do ,
You see you cant see whats wrong with me ,
Because i try so hard to hide ,
Just what i feel inside
But i dont know how much longer that i can pretend ,
Because realy i am crying inside. ,

Oh cheekygirl, you aren't alone in feeling like that and well done on writing your poem. There is a 'fixed' poetry thread on the ChitChat forum, have you seen it? Have a read through and put this one on there too, that way it won't 'disappear'. I've been muttering my Arthritic's Prayer a fair bit recently (that's on there!) Take care. DD

    Sitting here just wondering
    how life used to be
Iam trying not to feel sad
for the past i used to have
its hard to tell my family just how i realy feel ,
Imiss the friends i used to have
    "but it that really true
cause since i got my wheelchair
they dont seem to contact me "
You see i think am the same person that i allways used to be ,
its just my body thats has changed ,

    it really isnt me ,
I just depend on a wheelchair and other little things
of course there,s the bad days
the pain the sadness behind my smile
but i try so hard not to let you all see ,
just whats this is really doing to me ,
I put on my mask of make up and plant a big wide smile ,
And here i am ready to face the world
gentle hugs to you all xx

    Thank you Cheeky girl

Another excellent if a little sad poem. My guess is a few on here will relate to the words in it.

On here there are no wheelchairs to contend with - everyone is equal which is lovely.

I hope you are having a good day there and 'gentle hugs' back at you

    love
