hi just a little poem i wrote .
THIS morning i woke up and couldnt turn my head ,
I couldnt lift my arms up
It was even harder to get out of bed ,
My back it feels like its broken
THE pain is too much to bare,
But i have to get myself moving as there is noone else here ,
Iam finding simlpe things in life
so very difficult to do ,
Just walking round my kitchen causes me so much pain ,
even just to brush my hair is becoming so hard to do ,
You see you cant see whats wrong with me ,
Because i try so hard to hide ,
Just what i feel inside
But i dont know how much longer that i can pretend ,
Because realy i am crying inside. ,
THIS morning i woke up and couldnt turn my head ,
I couldnt lift my arms up
It was even harder to get out of bed ,
My back it feels like its broken

Oh cheekygirl, you aren't alone in feeling like that and well done on writing your poem. There is a 'fixed' poetry thread on the ChitChat forum, have you seen it? Have a read through and put this one on there too, that way it won't 'disappear'. I've been muttering my Arthritic's Prayer a fair bit recently (that's on there!) Take care. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

That's a great little poem and speaks volumes Cheekygirl. I do hope you're not having a really bad day and know that there is help out there.

I have turned to poetry it is my therapy. what a brilliant poem to the point. Hope you feel a little better by releasing the tension through the poem. I find it helps me get my feelings out. Love to see some more of your poetry from joanneJoanne0

Sitting here just wondering
how life used to be
Iam trying not to feel sad
for the past i used to have
its hard to tell my family just how i realy feel ,
Imiss the friends i used to have
"but it that really true
cause since i got my wheelchair
they dont seem to contact me "
You see i think am the same person that i allways used to be ,
its just my body thats has changed ,
it really isnt me ,
I just depend on a wheelchair and other little things
of course there,s the bad days
the pain the sadness behind my smile
but i try so hard not to let you all see ,
just whats this is really doing to me ,
I put on my mask of make up and plant a big wide smile ,
And here i am ready to face the world
gentle hugs to you all xx0 -
Thank you Cheeky girl
Another excellent if a little sad poem. My guess is a few on here will relate to the words in it.
On here there are no wheelchairs to contend with - everyone is equal which is lovely.
I hope you are having a good day there and 'gentle hugs' back at you
love
