Is it possible for OA to spread this quickly?

It's a week since I started doing my physio excercises 3x a day and I was ecstatic when yesterday, for the first time in nearly 3 three months I managed to go for a, albeit very slow 15 minute walk on my own, cane in hand, my bad knee not being quite as painful as on previous occasions.
Just when I thought I'd turned a corner, today I tried another such walk and my bad knee was agony again and to my horror the other knee which so far hasn't been too bad, felt weak, unstable and eventually a bit painful too.
But what is worrying me even more is that over the last couple of weeks all my fingers give me the same pain, mostly in the evenings and some of the joints, the ones nearest the fingertips, look swollen. One little finger is slightly bent inwards at the top. As I type this my right wrist feels uncomfortable. Some of my toe joints have started joining in too, again mostly in the evenings and they look a little swollen too.
When I wake up in the night, some of my fingers are totally numb, like pins and needles and not because I've been laid on them. Does that have to do with OA ?
Is it possible for this wretched illness to spread to other joints so quickly and has anyone else experienced this?

Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans.

Hi
I think we are all different in that respect.
Some people it does seem to happen quickly ....I've got OA in hips spine ankle and neck but that came on very gradually. I found I had time to adapt
