Does anyone else get dizziness taking MTX??
Ive been taking it for 4 months now and ive just started to notice i am getting occasional dizziness! Is this anything to worry about?? I will mention it to the Rheumy next time i see her.
Also, ive started to get a pain at the top of my wrist, and my wrist hurts when i move my wrist up and down. Im not sure if its an inflamed tendon or the start of arthur in my wrist! Is the pain normally felt right inside the wrist if its arthur or does it feel like its on the top of the wrist???

Oh dear, poor you, how unpleasant. , I feel for you. I think one of the biggest problems those of us on these meds face is that, rightly or wrongly, we associate everything that happens to us with them. Yes there are side effects a-plenty, yes we are all different in how we are affected and yes it can be hard to tell if something is due to a med or not. What I do now is this: if summat unusual happens I note it in my Grot Book (my diary of arthritis-related dross) and see if there is a pattern to anything, if there is then I contact the rheumatology nurse, if there isn't I don't. Experience takes time to be gathered but you will as we all do. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Emma
Sorry I cant help, but like DD says we do tend to put everything down to our meds or even Arthur, so you make sure you mention it to your GP.
You take care of yourself.Love

Hi Emma,
I get huge amounts of dizziness but mine is caused by the neck....
It might be worth talking to your gp cus they put me on stemitil years ago and that has really helped. Might be worth asking cus there is help out there. Cris x0 -
Hi Emma,
I always ring my rheumy nurse if things go on for more than a couple of days and let her decide whether it's significant or not.0 -
Thanks everyone! I definitely think its linked to the MTX as i only get it the day or so afterwards, then it goes away! Hopefully it will pass soon as my body adjusts to the increase in dose!
My wrist has got better too, i think it must have been muscle or tendon!LOVE EMMA X0 -
Hi Emma
I also get the dizziness but not from the methotrexate.
I also have wrist pain which my rheummy thinks may be arthritis. I have it in my fingers, toes, knees and possibly my right thigh.
How are you doing today?
Hope you are doing ok.
