Awww so exciting! I've heard being a grandparent is so much better than a parent 'cause you get to spoil them without any of the repercussion. I have a fabulous relationship with my maternal grandma.

I personally like grandma but there's nana which is nice too. My friend call hers Mimi!

Massive congratulations to you and your family x

As for what to call yourself....

I dont want to be a Nan or a Gran really... :? but l would just choose one and then you will find your Grandbaby will change it his/her self.

Gammy, Ninny and Gardar - these are some of the names l know have been invented this way :D

Fun fun fun times ahead for you

    Love

I love my Grandma so when I became one that was the name for me people think im mad cos im 40 but I love it. Im not a lover of nana but then my NANa wasnt a lover of anything :? including us kids.
My granddaughter calls me MAMA (her mum is MUMMY)at the minute shes 20 months now and is the JOY in my life that keeps me going its amazing the love you fell for grandchildren, she calls granddad 'danddad' in fact that was her first word. Needless to say hes wrapped round her little fingers

good luck and enjoy and to you lindalegs too :D

Great news... wonderful feeling.. you will soooo enjoy. It is strange i love all four of my monsters(children) as i call them but there is something different about a grandchild just cannot explain it. I opted for grandma and i have another due being of May (another girl) can hardly wait... nothing like a new born baby...the smell, the touch and the feeling of love.
