Back on the Humira???

Hi everyone!
I have been off of the Humira now for just over 6 months, I was told to have a break (not 6mths but time flies) as I hadn't been feeling too good. Now the thing is, my joints are starting to get very very painful and I am really starting to feel tired and having problems again at night and am being told by my family to get back on the humira! One of the pluses of being off the humira is I have just lost over half a stone in weight over the last three months. I was convinced before that the Humira was causing my weight gain. I have changed my diet a little so that could be the reason but I am very reluctant to go back on the humira incase the weight comes back on?? I know that sounds very vain and I should be thinking about my health and joint damage but its hard enough living with RA let alone worrying about I look, weight wise. Has anyone else experienced weight gain with Humira or was I just blaming it for over indulging???
Also, the Humira has always scared me, the unknown side effects. My skin was affected by it too at that seems to have cleared up, so I am so unsure as to restart it or not but I don't want to be left without anything.
Thanks for reading xx

I don't know if you want to hear this but I haven't put on any weight with Humira (she says whilst munching on a gingerbread man  )
I do eat better when I'm well tho (as flares tend to put me off my food), but i'm also better at doing exercise when the RA is under control so it kind of levels out for me.
If you are worried about it then I would talk it through with your doctors
Personally I would have to currently be dragged of this drug kicking & screaming at the moment as its made me feel so much better after being rubbish for so long

Hi Chrissie,
Thats exactly what I wanted to hear really because if I know its not the Humira making me gain weight then I am more likely to go back onto it, like you say, its makes a huge difference, the swelling of my joints came right down, although I still had pain but the horrible lumps disappared!!! Not looking forward to the needle going back in my stomach either, but its a small price to pay I suppose!!! Thank you, I feel a bit better about it now, if I can keep up with my diet, then maybe things will be ok?
Thanks again0
