Rumo is actually doing some tests!

Saw the rumo yesterday and didn't hold out any hope that anything (bar the drip being reinstated) would change.....
Have been getting bad the last few years. The pa has never been controlled, the oa has had a free hand for far too long, the eyes have got permanent damage though how much I will find out tomorrow....
In all I have seen the rumo every 4 months or so fr the last 12 years.
He has always been nice and kind but not exactly pro-active!
Threw me on to palative care. I said about the temp paralyzation ages ago from both the neck and the spine..... Thought that might make him think 'oh best we look at this' but it didn't.....
When I went for the wrist splints (they took over 3 years to get) By then this cutting in half thing was endless as well as the rest so the ot she would see if I could see the back ot for a special contraption....
The rumo blocked it and said he wanted to do a complete re-view of the spine and neck....
Then the appointment with him was cancelled ......
At last I saw him yesterday......
Well initially I saw his side kick cus I thought that way i might actually get the review!
He went and got the rumo when he found a whole raft of neurological symptoms.
Being saying this for years but at last something is being mri'ed again....
Only something of course.....
I sat there with as many neuro symptoms via the neck as the the lumber and had to decide which one was more important.....
Both give temporary paralyzation. Both have the cut in half thing. Both have caused numbness and lack of sensation t say nothing of endless pins and needles and both have knocked out the reflexes but I had to choose which they will look at first...
They can't do both apparently as the scan will take longer and this has suddenly become urgent!
Well yeah and to me it has been for at least 2 years!
There is slightly less feeling in my legs than my arms, the cutting in half from the lumber hurts a little more than the neck so i chose the lumber its just as ever you get half treatments and help and its wrong....
its just wrong....
Sorry really down about all this and what ever they find I didn't expect any 'cures' but least I will know what the lumber is up to.....
Hope everyone has a good day. Cris x
Oh and the drip I think is reinstatyed

h Cris my love
Why dont they just see us as one body instead lots of parts that different people treat...does that make sense.. :?
If my hip man would treat my back...I would be poll dancing by now.... saying that I an't had my hips done yet
Cris I am not surprised you are down...but hopefully they will come up with something...we are always here for you
Love and slurps to you and your lovely family xxxLove

Hi Cris..
What a rig-me-roll :!: :!:

I think that's the bit I'd be hanging on to with both my rubbishy hands, skezier my love. Presumably there's a much longer wait for a long scan which you'd have to have if it was both together. I had a longer wait for my knee revision than I'd have had for a simple TKR. Not much consolation to you but at least they're doing something which, in your neck of the woods, seems a step in the right direction.
Wanna join me down at the tyre place? I'm off for a complete remould.
I hope the appointment is soon and then, hopefully, they can get on with the other half.
OK, when am I back on the roof? I've got me thermals, sleeping bag and binoculars. Just need a hoist up. Oh and they were flogging 2 boxes of copes for the price of one at the supermarket so I wrapped yours in these (((([])))). I'm told they are slurp-proof but, hey, these guys'll say anything to get a sale.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Cris
Good to hear you have had a rhummy appointment and that at last they are now doing some investigations for you . Sorry though that you could only choose one part of your body because of scans taking too long.
Hopefully your appointment will come through quickly and the results too, then they can start to do their job and help you.
Take care
Love & hugs

My dear Cris, I am so sorry that you have yet again come up against the powers that be. It is an outrage that the health authority has still not got its act together, I had hoped would have started to improve by now.
Don’t give up on the OT department, do go ahead with the home visit and hopefully they will continue the pressure on the rheumy dept. I am so upset for you Cris, no wonder you are feeling so let down.
Hang on in there flower, all our thoughts are with you.
I hope the appointment today went well and there was more pro active movement in that department at least.
Hugs as always,
Lv, I x0 -
