Well, it went well. I lay face down and he put 8 needles in. It was hard keeping my bad leg under control, but otherwise quite peaceful. Could turn neck better after.
Am in awful pain now, nerves and muscles, not sure if acupuncture aggravated it or I have overdone it( drove the car today  ) I am very cranky and keep warning everyone!!!
I had to pop into marks and sparks to change some school trousers and both liftes were out of order ( I walk with a walker and it wont go on escalators, tried and nearly fell backwards  ) and had a note saying contact a member of staff who would help. So I did, she said ' do you have to go upstairs?' the second member of staff said 'so?'
I found the manager and politely explained my annoyance at their manner, called hubby out of car, who helped me up the escalators to the top floor where the exchange dept and childrenswear is.!!!!
Hubby says I always attract them,

Well done on the acupuncture front, Suzygirl! I bet you're glad you've got one session under your belt.
I don't see why it should have made anything worse so I think that's more likely to be the other stuff you did, especially driving the car if you haven't done it for a while - new muscles and all that.
As for M&S - I really would have expected better of them. I hope you get a proper apology. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hope the acupuncture works for you.
Why do shops always have childrens dept on higher floors ? Mig0 -
Hi Suzy
Great you have your first acupuncture over and done with......when will you be having another one?
As for M & S.....that is awful. I wouldnt dream of trying to take my walker up an escalator.....they have to provide some sort of lift....surely the goods lift would have been OK.....OK one of them would have had to accompany you....I suppose they couldnt be bothered.

Hi Suzygirl, I am so glad that tha accupuncture appointment went well. I do believe you may have overdone things and thats why u are tender tonight.
As for the M&S thing, the head office realy need to know about the attitude of staff towards disability and how stupid there exchange dept isin the top of the store, it is at our local one too.
Weldone. hope next one is even better.xxClare xx0 -
I'm happy for you that the acupuncture went so well. I've had dozens of them and have just applied to have some more.
M&S have really surprised me, I've always thought of their staff as very courteous and helpful. I would definately write to head office and complain.
I'd say that the acupuncture did'nt have anything to do with you feeling sore, more likely you've taken too much out of yourself. It's always stressful trying something new but hopefully it will be of some benifit for you.
Hope today is a better day for you.

Hi Suzy
l am really pleased that all went well and you coped with the acupuncture
Let's hope it really helps you....those who have success that l know of felt the benefits increased with more sessions.
As for M&S l agree with the others....a complaint may well be in order there :x

Thanks guys. I met a friend for coffee today who works in marks and sparks and is manager of that section!!! We had a laugh over my incident, and she will deal with it when she goes in tomorrow
In pain again today, but have been out. Will rest up tomorrow and see how I go.0 -
Morning suzygirl
I hope the acupuncture helps and yes, probably you had over done things a little.
How annoying that both of M&S lifts were not working. I should have thought the staff would have offered to do your transaction downstairs, that would have been the courteous thing to do, especially as they saw you walking with a walker/stroller.
Glad you enjoyed your coffee with your friend and lets hope she briefs the staff.
Hope you are feeling much better today and have a lovely relaxing one

Thanks Julie, I am totally wiped out today. I got up with my son before school, then went back to bed. Just got up and pottered for an hour and am ready for bed again. Hate those kind of days, you feel guilty, but if I don't give in, it just gets worse.
I am fortunate though, a friend has just dropped in something for tea for us. I am so grateful for my friends kindness. Another friend popped in yesterday and helped me pretty up my zimmer frame and wheeled walker. They are now pink and sparkly Much more to my liking, hubby and boys think I am mad, but who says it all has to be grey, grey, grey??
If I have to use them, it will be on my terms.0
