Hi folks.
Hope everyone is ok, sorry not bin on much, wifi signal here is pants.
Some of you know I'm down in london at the minute, been here since monday, home tomorrow afternoon.. Have met up with some of our yank friends who were doing the whole tourist thing..
I've been a really stupid boy  I've done way too much. Drugged myself to high Heaven and thought bugger the consequences...
I know, many of you told me to get a wheelchair, but to be fair, Janet isn't well enough to push me plus we've been having to travel on the tubes as the buses add at least an hour onto the journey. The tubes are extremely disabled un-friendly  not many of the stations other than the newer ones have lifts or escalators.. So a wheelchair would have been useless lol.. I've struggled sooooooo much with the stairs here... I know it's all self inflicted really but wondered if you would be kind enough to offer some moral support? I'm in sooooooo much pain right now.. I could cry, but I won't, cos I'm a bloke lol..
My knees have ballooned. I've protected them as much as possible with knee supports, my hands and wrists are killing from the crutches, my back is awful.. Right this very moment I HATE THIS DISEASE WITH ALL OF MY HEART & SOUL!! :x
My diazepam supply is almost out.. I've had to increase my fentanyl back up to 75mcg/hr from the 50 I had recently dropped down to.. That and the diclofenac are barely helping at the minute.
I could do with the forum lump hammer please..

Having said all of that, we have had a fantastic time seeing our pals. Went on the London eye which was great...

Right, I shall stop my whining and try to sleep.
Thanks for taking the time to read the mumblings of an old fart. :D

Sorry you are in pain Tony. Just think of the good time you had getting there though - and you will do it again another time, because you don't want your Arthur to stop you from doing things that you enjoy.
I hope your pains calm down a bit soon.
I am suffering a bit more than usual too - had to take an extra Coco this morning at 4.30am - and all I done was the ironing and tidied out a clothes cupboard!

Hey u old fart  No lump hammer handy as on bus heading to work.

Know what ya mean about the tube access though, its pants aint it. There are some, and i mean some, helpfull guards who do direct u to the lifts or help ya but they are not always easy to find , neither are the lifts for that matter.
The tube was not designed with disability in mind, but hey it is bloody old,lol

Am sorry its given yr arthur a bashing. U will both be able to rest n recover when u get home. Bet RA is missing ya too. xx

Not too girly hugs for ya T ((((()))))

    Oh Tony

I saw somebody with a rolator the other day and suggested tomy hubby that i get one.............he said no bloody fear, you'e only want to sit on it and have me wheel you about...........hmmm!

In all seriousness, you take great care now and I sincerely hope the flare up and pain subside before too long xx

    love & hugs

OK. Got lump hammer. Will travel. Just point me in the right direction and give the instructions in proper Yorkshire English that I can understand. As well as the hammer, I’ve got a dozen boxes of man-sized tissues so, if you disguise your sobs with a hefty snort, you can weep away without anyone knowing. And welcome to the dozy old wassocks club. I guess you’ll be needing a couple of these. ((()))
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi Tony

Would it make it any easier to bear if you think of it as a sort of hangover??? That 'I know I'm going to regret this but what the hell' type of thing, followed by 'damn it, I am NEVER doing this again'.

Seriously, I'm sorry you're feeling so bad, and really hope it doesn't last too long.

    Take care

I knew you would over do it :(

I thought the tube stations would be a problem but I was hoping that by now 2012 they would be disabled friendly.

Glad you are having a good time though, and that you have enjoyed seeing your friends again.

    Take care

Aw Tony, I hope today is a little better for you, but you have done so well. Hopefully you will look back on the trip with rose tinted glasses and only remember the good bits. :P

It has been many years since I was last in London but it was a nightmare on the public transport and everyone seem to be too rushed to give their fellow travellers any leeway.
    Fascinating place though.. :D

Oh Tony me old cocker!! What am I to do with you!! You need wrapping in cotton wool so not to hurt yourself! Try and give yourself time to rest and let your body heal it's self instead of bombing about all day. Ra is not going to be happy with you when you get home. It means he will have to extend his mission taking care of you! Rest up me ol'mate and get yourself stronger! Send my love to J and I send a big bear ((HUG)) to you .

Just a quick note to let you all know that tjt is having train trouble. One broke, it limped to another station where they had to change onto one that is hopefully working but at least he and Mrs tjt have managed to get seats on the replacement! Hopefully he will soon be safely home. DD

We are home now. Both exhausted.. I'm suffering beyond words but my own silly fault..
That train thing wasn't great, Janet couldn't get a seat for a while..
Oh boy, why did I do it? Haha

I need more drugs
Catch you all in a while.

Bless ya hun. Certainly do have lots of nice memories. Shall post some photos when back at HQ, we are, erm, in Skeggy  our good friends Liz & Eric brought us down in their car as I've not been in any state to drive since the southern trip. We needed to get top the caravan here top sort things out. I'm trying my best to be a good.boy and sit back & supervise but it's not in my nature  so more self inflicted pain. I am going to be in deeeeeeeep trouble when these diazapam run out  it's the only way I'm still going of sorts lol.
Thank you for the kind words though mi dear, very appreciated.

What sport were you hoping to compete in, del?

Tony, I can't compete with a man hug but I hope you've finally seen the light and stopped torturing those joints of yours. Also hope it's as sunny in Skeggy as it is here.

You didn't enclose it in IMG tags r020.gif

No sympathy for self inflicted pain but we all do it don't we otherwise we would be building coffins as there would be no point to living.

Oh go on then, man hug on way.

It's reaffirmed my decision not to go to the Olympics.
