Poppy Needs YOU.....

Hi everyone,
Thankyou for all your kind messages of support, I'm very grateful to you all. It has been a very difficult time for me and my family, I close my eyes and see the look of horror on the Dr's face when looking at my initial X-rays...that was when I got sent to ICU, it was an anxious wait for the CT scan, but the morphine and oxygen were helping, once they realised it wasn't a pulmonary embolism and was in fact scar tissue caused by repeated bouts of pleurisy, it felt like a weight had been lifted off, I was in tears, of joy I might add, though I really don't recommend crying when you are short of breath
I now have oxygen at home, am on morphine and steroids, today I felt such a sense of achievement purely because I could get out of bed myself!
Onward and upward now, things are getting better, my wonderful family and friends has been such an amazing support to me.
I'm to rest, and recuperate, I have another CT booked for 3rd April, we'll know what the next step is then.
Thankyou everyone hope you all have a peaceful and painfree weekend.'grá agus solas'

Poppy, what a time of it you've had, you and your family seem to have been through the mill. At least you're on the other side of it and hopefully will be able to rest and get better.
Sending warm vibes and big hugs for a better day today.

Hi my lovely friends,
My breathing is easing thanks to the oxygen and steroids, and the pain is being kept at bay by oramorph. I'm sure all the wonderful messages I've received from you all have helped in a big way too.
I'm taking it easy, with small steps to getting stronger I was taken aback by how quickly things got so serious, i cannot fault the wonderful care ive received and hopefully im on the 'up' now, and I'm very keen to avoid being admitted to hospital for at least a couple of weeks
Thankyou again for your love and support, I honestly don't know I would have coped without it. You are all wonderful'grá agus solas'

Two weeks sounds quite a long time by your current standards, Poppy, but I really hope this is one ambition you can fulfil. You know what to do - NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH. (I'll be watching you )If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
