hi all hope you are well in this lovely sunshine. xx

so is there anyone on cimzia or another anti-ntf that has lots of infections. i was on enbral and had about 7 in 9months which isn't great but i could deal with it but i have taken 3 doses of cimzia and a week after each dose i have had an infection and today got more anti-biotics.

i had my 1st lot in jan for 3 weeks to clean then end of feb had a week now this week, i can't get off week zero for meds because its to long between each dose.
so how long should i keep trying to take this med before giving up as this way is definatly not helping me.

also when i do decide to come off it i will be trying for a baby so has anyone else concieved a baby with unconrolled RA as my rheumy is saying try more but go says he thinks i should go for it has i don't know when remission maybe.

sorry this is a lot but don't know where to turn xxx
RA since feb 2010

methotrexate, plaquenil, prednisolone, diclafeac, tramadol, co-codamol, enbrel

Davina hi what a lot to cope with
I would phone the rheumy nurse and go see her have a good chat and put your cards on the table.
I had simula problems to you and have ended up on Rituximab i have not had one single infection and ive been great. However they have withdrawn it and at the moment all i take is prednisolone I'm going down hill fast as i should have had my Infusion in Jan. but ill have to see how i get on. Listen Davina i hope things work out well for you and be firm with the Rheumy or Rheumy nurse its your body and its you who is suffering so much. Wish i had a magic wand for you girl, if your going to try for a baby stay off the Methotrexate as you have to waite three months for it clear from your body. hope your feeling better soon. keep us updated on how you get on

Hi. stlucia has a thread at the bottom of this page 'Exciting news'. Yup, that's the exciting news. Her 'Operation Up the Duff' has been successful. I think there are others. Maybe if you enter 'pregnancy' in the search engine.

I got pregnant twice with RA but so long ago it's not going to be much help to you. My two are 36 and 41 now!
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
